More thinking can feel safer than a decision.
A decision closes doors. Thinking keeps every possibility alive for one more day. That can feel comforting even while it drains you.
When you notice yourself circling, ask what new information you are actually waiting for. If the answer is “none,” the next step may not be more analysis.
